Acids Pumps
Canned motor pumps are ideal for pumping fuming acids such as sulfur trioxide, oleums and chlorosulfonic acids because they are leakproof, sealless and offer positive secondary containment. Even in the event of a primary pressure boundary failure, the fuming acids will not leak into the environment. Canned motor pump sealless designs also prevent contaminants from leaking into the system. Pumps can be mounted in the horizontal or vertical position and can be modified for submerged service. Real-time, continuous bearing wear or rotor position monitoring is also available.
